Germany’s most important aerospace campus:
Special Airport Oberpaffenhofen is one of the 12 airports of federal interest.

As a special and research airport for shipyard and development operations as well as for qualified business flights, it is unique in Germany and the centerpiece of the  Airtech Campus Oberpfaffenhofen.
Together with the neighboring German Aerospace Center (DLR) and many industry-specific companies and institutions, around 8,000 employees work at the campus today, of which around 4,000 work at the airport.

The entire process chain of aircraft and aviation technology is represented, from education, research and development
to pre-production, production, flight operations and maintenance – from large companies to start-ups.
